Shooter
is a wonderful companion and part of the family; he is calm
and content inside the house and impressively gentle and kind with
all of our other dogs. His company has been enjoyed by the
children of many of our friends as well as the elderly residents
at the nursing homes we visit.
Shooter's
accomplishments are impressive and record-setting:
- He was the first UKC Grand Champion
Labrador (June '00)
- He was the first Lab to be ranked #1 in Top
Ten (1999)
- He was the first Lab to win the Top Ten BOB
award (June '00 for 1999)
- He is the ONLY Lab to win the Top Ten BOB
award three times consecutively!
Shooter retired from
the show ring, earning more than 30 Best of Breed awards
between AKC and UKC shows.
Shooter
enjoys his days being the "senior" family member;
introducing new four-legged family members to the household and
enjoying each duck hunting season with us. He also travels
to hunt tests with us, being used as test dog whenever possible.
And, he has started an entirely new career in Rally Obedience.
